"Chain Pubs"

A review of Yates Wine Lodge by Barry written on Friday 8th of October 2010

Yes Michael, these city centre chain Pubs all suck.

Food is always mediocre and usually served cold.

These people have the economies of scale to market their lukewarm offerings successfully which never ceases to amaze me.

For me, they can keep their polycarbonate glasses and half witted door staff in favour of the good old fashioned British Free House where you can get excellent food and great wines for sensible money.

Ever been to The Sands House up at Crosland Moor? The home made food there is where it's at for me (Try the Chips, unbelievable!)

Barry.
